Main Street West Branch hosted its inaugural Evening of Honors on Friday, February 28, celebrating the volunteers, businesses, and community members who make downtown West Branch a thriving and vibrant place. Over 100 attendees gathered for the event, which featured an Appreciation Hour with live music from the Old Capitol Trombones, along with pie and ice cream as a token of gratitude for the many individuals who contribute to Main Street’s local success.

Emceed by Pete Swisher, the ceremony highlighted the organization’s accomplishments in the past year, including securing new grant funding, facilitating downtown revitalization projects, engaging volunteers in more than 2,400 hours of service and welcoming more than 9,500 visitors through Main Street events. Executive Director Jessi Simon emphasized the vital role of community support, stating, “Your dedication, passion, and belief in this town fuel everything we do.”

Main Street West Branch also unveiled its 2024 Annual Report, now available online at mainstreetwestbranch.org/annualreport. The report details the past year’s accomplishments, financials, and the ongoing efforts to strengthen downtown as a destination for residents and visitors alike.
